President’s Notes – September 2020

Hello LCARA Supporters,

It was great to see so many of you in person for the August picnic in the park.  The food was great. Thank you Kevin for being our grill master, Will for bringing the grill, Paul for the Hot dogs, and for all the tasty food everyone brought.  Special thanks to Scott, N8XP for a demonstration and presentation on the Allstar digital mode.

I have a couple of key items for this month – elections, and meeting location.

September Meeting Location – The Lapeer Center
The club has arranged to use the Lincoln room at the Lapeer Center building for our September 8 meeting.  Yes, our meeting will be in person in September!  The Lincoln room is quite large, so we will be able to space out to accommodate social distancing protocols, along with other state-requirements.

September is Officer Election Month
We will vote on officers for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.  Nominations may be submitted to qso@w8lap.com until 7pm on September 8, 2020, or at the meeting itself.
