July 31, 2020 / N8XP / 0 Comments

The meeting was called to order at 7:36 pm by President Gerret KD8YUK. Those who Zoomed in were Mike KD8OTZ, Mike W8YRC, Scott N8XP, Kevin KB8TAR, Gerret KD8YUK and Lee N8LJ.

Treasurer’s report was presented by Scott N8XP and was approved as read.

Repeater report: The new repeater was installed by Scott N8XP and Paul AB8XL. It is now functional. Please report any anomalies to Mike KN8Z so we can tweak any parameters deemed necessary. The “Big Red Button” is now functional on the W8LAP website to report repeater issues. See the W8LAP web site for the “All Star” capability enabled with the new repeater system.

A big THANKS go to Paul AB8XL and Scott N8XP for their many hours of prep work with the new system and for them to install it on one of the hottest days of the year.

Next steps for the repeater systems is to determine the condition of the tower, antennas, feedlines and possibilities for signal coverage improvements.

Secretary reports will be presented once we get back to face to face meetings.

EC report: Kevin KB8TAR reported the backbone links between Mayville and Burnside sites will be extended to the hospital. They are awaiting funds for the hospital install.

A quick recap of Field Day results were discussed.

Respectfully submitted

Lee
