With the recent addition of the new W8LAP AllStar Link – the VHF repeater usage has dramatically increased over the past several weeks. The VHF repeater now automatically plays informational Amateur Radio News twice weekly. For those looking for nets to check-in to – the VHF repeater also links to a network of repeaters covering most of the State of Michigan – nine different times per week!
ARRL Audio News and Amateur Radio Newsline are now played weekly on the W8LAP Repeater System. You do not need to be licensed to listen to the week’s current news and events from around the world.
Joining the long standing Lapeer County ARES Net held on Tuesday nights at 8:00pm – are nine additional nets hosted by the IRA Link System.
The W8LAP Repeater System will automatically link to the IRA Link System five minutes prior to each scheduled net. All amateur operators are welcome to join our fellow amateurs and friends throughout the State of Michigan – thanks to this amazing collection of linked repeaters made possible by the IRA Link System.
