The meeting was called to order at 7:31pm by our VP Kevin KB8TAR. There were 10 members and guests in attendance.
The evenings presentation was the “MI6 WAN Network” a microwave IP based network to interconnect local EOC’s to the state EOC. A link was established to the Lapeer Hospital and Lapeer EOC. The link is part of the CMEN network.
Hospital Report: No one reported to be ill.
Announcements: Gerret KD8YUK still has donated equipment in his barn. LCARA needs to re-inventory what is left. Once swaps are allowed again plan for its sale.
Mike KN8Z has catalogues to give away.
Dick KC8VHA reports we (LCARA) still have shared ownership of the trailer we used to use for the Operation Care event we used to sponsor.
Secretary Report: Lee N8LJ read the meeting minutes from the April meeting. Motion to accept as read made by Mike KN8Z and seconded by Gerret KD8YUK. Motion unanimously approved by the membership present.
Treasure Report: Paul AB8XL presented the treasure’s report. A motion was made by Gerret KD8YUK to approve as read and Mike KN8Z seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved by the membership present.
EC Report: Kevin reported the Homeland Security Conference that was scheduled for August is cancelled.

New Business: Field Day this year will be at Paul’s AB8XL QTH. LCARA will supply the porta-potty. Bring your own station, antennas, computer, tent or fly, operating table, chairs, food and drink. A grill will be available. A generator and long power cords are needed. More discussion will be held at the June meeting.
Our August meeting activity will be the annual picnic. At that time we will be accepting nominations for the 2021-2022 officers. More to follow.
