The W8LAP D-STAR repeater automatic link schedule has been updated. The new schedule is aimed at accommodating weekday commuters in southeast Michigan while maintaining a link to other repeaters throughout the State of Michigan during the middle part of the day.
Reflector 89C is new and serves southeast Michigan and other D-STAR repeaters in the region. The K8DXA repeater in Lake Orion and the WA8BRO repeater in Warren are also connected to this reflector on a regular basis.
Many other D-STAR nets of interest have also been included in the schedule. The repeater is scheduled to link to REF024A on Monday evenings for the Michigan ARES D-STAR net. The Southeast Michigan D-STAR net is linked on Wednesday nights on REF089C followed by the HamNation Aftershow D-STAR net later that night on REF014C. See the full schedule for details. Please note: The repeater is scheduled to link to scheduled reflectors five (5) minutes prior to the start of any net.
The Lapeer UHF D-STAR repeater may always be unlinked by any user wishing to make contacts outside of the regularly scheduled reflectors. Amateurs may also unlink the repeater to make local QSOs. Just listen to the repeater to make sure it is not currently being used by other hams in the Lapeer area. After several minutes of inactivity – the repeater will relink based on the programmed schedule.
The D-STAR auto link schedule can be adjusted at anytime. If you’re interested in the W8LAP D-STAR repeater automatically linking to another net that you’re interested in – please e-mail admin@w8lap.com with the details.
